These sessions are designed for players who are keen on soccer and interested in improving their skill level. They are mandatory for Division 1 players and interested players from all levels are welcome to participate. Sessions will be led by our professionally trained technical director and will enhance the skills of all players.
The goals of the program are to:
• Encourage young players to try goal keeping and enjoy the game
• Support and encourage skilled and committed players to reach their full potential as goal keepers
• Contribute to making all Chelsea teams as competitive as possible in their respective categories
All coaches are required to attend additional training sessions, offered in 1.5-hour blocks early in the season. These sessions will be held on the Chelsea soccer fields and focus on techniques, fun games, and different approaches to the game.
These sessions are designed to improve technical skills for both competitive players and beginners.
All Division 1 and 2 coaches at levels U9 to U18 are required to have community coach certification (National Coaching Certification Program). There are four levels of certification, based on the age of the children being coached.
